Hangin' on to the prey

Hi People,
I will be posting a series of macro and closeup photos of my work starting today. Most of them will be Flora and occasionally insects and others. Keep in mind that i do not have a Expensive macro equipment, and all the time i had to rely on auto focus here. So any little discrepancy relating to focus and sharpness should be foregiven.
I will start with a recent shot of a spidy which i shot couple of days back in the backyard. The prey he is holdin onto is a mosquito that he sacked with his web. Background is selectively desaturated.

Good one!
I love its colours!
The shadow on background is little distracting for me but overall it looks very good.

this is a colorful subject - i try to find spiders in my yard to photograph but they are all kind of boring and brown (although nicely hairy!)

It's a very good macro to think that you had to move the camera so close to the insect (6 mm). The limited colors of grey black and yellow is interesting. Weren't you scared of getting bitten? lol

@Ryan Yam: Hehhe Insects wont bite the photographers good at heart ;-)
