Yesterday i saw an article on jason's blog about out of body experiences and scientific inferences and i wanted to post this abstract. There is a contorversial scienctific intrepretation of the ethereal or etheric body. There is also intresting branch of photography named Kirlian Photography dealing with photographing the etheric body and other para-scientific phenomena like aura or the vital force of life, it is named after a scientist called Semyon Kirlian. Kirlian proposed controvesially that his images of living objects were a physical proof of the life force or aura which allegedly surrounds all living beings. Here is an example of his work, an image of a leaf shot using his photographic method. For the awe of skeptics who dont believe in the unexplained_by_the_sceince, there is also a striking resemblence of his photographs with the acupuncture points of human body. My photograph here is not a kirlian photograph, it is a photograph of a transparent LED torch light shot hand in absolute darkness during a blackout here in vizag. I like it! If you can do astronomy photos inside the house using household objects, why not do the same with ghosts. Now that I know there's a name for them, I think I'll post one of my "kirlian photographs" eventually too.Good stuff!

Its a nice shot i liked it very much if u have not said that it is a transparent torch light I would have been wondering what actualy it was. Nice visualisation.

You should check out the work of Russian scientist, Dr. Konstantin Korotkov. He has been doing studies on next generation Kirlian photography. Jason and I heard him speak earlier this year at a conference in London. Quite fascinating research he is attempting. We love this kind of research. So many unknowns out there to play with and understand. By the way, the Russian Ministry of Health certifies his GDV technology and it is in use by over 300 doctors in Russia to assist with psychology, cancer, and other medical problems combining spirit and body.
