Haphazard Sunset

Iam ending the capecod sunset series on a low note here. I am posting this half hearted, as i did'nt like it as much as i like other images. Sharpness is missing on this one since i shot this hand held and 3x Zoomed in such lighting conditions. I was more keen on shooting the this boat and wanted to walk to the boat as soon as i can before the light goes off. I tried my best to post process this one. Thats all from cape cod series for now.

Question: Is there any good way of distinguishing a sunrise from a sunset? Probably during sunset you see the reddish clouds even when the sun is not completely set. Is this correct?

@Shuva Brata Deb: Intresting question shuva. I would look at the exif data to see the time of shooting, if available to get an idea. Although its hard to differentiate between sunrise and sunset, My experiences show that during evenings before sunset the area around sun is more orangish but after sunrise its yellowish, its just my wage obeservation and dont think it is 100% correct. In my opinion it all depends on the conditions like season, location, relative humidity, wind conditions etc. We will have to see more data before coming to a decision.

I think sunrise and sunset are indistinguishable - just depends on whether you are on an east facing coast or west one or for those marooned on a small remote island... you have access both (although your fresh water supply and food are starting to dwindle and the skipper is starting to look like a pork chop!)

I would not say you ended on a low note... this photo works quite well as an abstract besides a landscape sunset... the lines of water relfections and people shadows add a lot of interest...
