To start with, this is a shot which i wanted to do since my childhood days. The statues of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, on top of Kailash Giri(Famous place in vizag)were shot against dramatic Western Sky at the time of sunset. I wanted to get details of the statues and fired flash, but iam only 20% successful(poor me dont have powerful flash equipment). After seeing the results i wanted to go for a silhouette, hence i burnt away all those details at the base of the statues.

Stunning shot. I like the silhouette approach and think you did a good job with the post-production.

Srini, Welcome to am3! I am sure I will not like the shot if the flash fired, I like the silhouette presentation. Lord Shiva is Jason's favourite Hindu God. He will like this picture.

Hi Srini welcome to am3! This is a great shot - you executed it well. The sky looks like it is on fire.
